We two moms would like to send a very Happy Mother’s Day greeting to our fellow moms (and all the dads, friends, and family who support moms)!
We trust all the moms had a lovely day being celebrated and appreciated for your on-call twenty-four- hour-a-day, full-service mothering. In the spirit of celebrating mothers, we are sharing Table365 inspiration and ideas on how to support yourself and others while feeding your family.
Taking care of MOM:
Remember that eating well is just as important for you as it is for your family. Be sure that you are making and taking the time to eat healthy foods that will fuel your busy days. See our posts on Super Foods and Super Greens for ideas and recipes.
Take short cuts if it helps you get lunches packed, dinner on the table, or yourself fed. There are many prepared ingredients and foods that are not highly processed. Look for our *speedy version hints in posts.
Ask for help. If you, or a loved one, has an illness, bereavement, extended jury duty, extensive work travel, whatever… ask for some help with meals. We love the free app Meal Train for the easy coordination of getting meals to people who need them. Check it out http://www.mealtrain.com
Use the Table365 tools: goal setting, meal planning, lunch ideas list, pantry list, freezer list, healthy snack list, recipes, inspiration, and basic ingredient information to make feeding your family easier and more enjoyable.
