For the fall, we’re going to share our FIND OF THE WEEK to help you feed your family.
Kimberly and I love to share our latest food finds with each other, and now we’re going to start sharing them with you too! We’ll weed through the big pile of ways to get inspired and educated: cookbooks, blogs, podcasts, articles, videos, magazines, cooking stores, food vendors, the list goes on and on! Be sure and let us know what you are finding, too.
FIND OF THE WEEK:
This week I had the honor and pleasure to meet one of my personal heroes, Mark Bittman, American Food Journalist and New York Times columnist, author, and advocate for healthy family eating. He’s currently on a book tour for his new book, How to Cook Everything Fast: A Better Way to Cook Great Food.
Here’s what Mark Bittman has to say about his book:
“Like its predecessors, Fast is a comprehensive guide to everyday cooking. But it’s also an all-new collection of more than 2,000 recipes that come together in 45, 30, even 15 minutes. In it, I’ve reimagined the written recipe and built something that I believe is actually better. The upshot? Cooking is more efficient, intuitive, and fun than ever before.”
Reducing your prep and cooking time is exactly what everyone trying to feed a family needs. This book breaks down and redefines the process of preparing food. It has helpful illustrations and step-by-step guides, making it incredibly simple to follow.
Mark Bittman is the focus of the cover story of Time Magazine this week with an article titled “The Truth About Home Cooking.” Time says, “Bestselling food writer Mark Bittman makes the case that eating at home is good for your health, good for your family—and, with the right approach, far easier than you think.”
